High growth in the last eighteen months has resulted in our client requiring a transport controller. This role will suit somebody looking for stability, a favourable working environment with a mindset that focuses on the customer not ‘your’ job description. Therefore flexibility along with a dynamic and personable personality are a must, as is the desire to be a hands-on team player.

Skills & experience

Obviously experience in routing and scheduling a fleet in excess of fifty vehicles is essential as is an understanding of contractual and legal requirements. Computer literate, responsibilities will include maximising the efficient despatch of the fleet and meeting customer requirements, both internal and external. A formal education is preferred but not required, experience and personality along with potential capability is of far more importance.
