Vacancy Description:

To lead and manage the warehouse operation in order to continuously improve standards and processes and ensure best possible service levels are delivered at all times. To take responsibility for site health and safety.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
•Performance manage and appraise all warehouse colleagues to ensure effective standards are achieved throughout the warehouse operation
•Work on recruitment and retention practices within the warehouse to ensure the best people are placed in the correct jobs and choose to remain with Mayflex as long as possible
•Training and development of all warehouse colleagues to minimum set standards and above
•Absence management / Discipline and grievance
•Ensure open and continuous communication to warehouse colleagues; Logistics Manager and other relevant colleagues within Mayflex
•Other employee relations issues or duties as applicable to the role

OPERATIONS
•Lead and develop process improvement/policy management and implementation
•Responsible for all site health and safety including risk assessment; housekeeping and maintenance of warehouse equipment
•Take control of all warehouse expenses, ensuring budget is kept to, and saving costs where possible
•Ensure warehouse is adequately staffed at all times, making sure the correct people are working in the correct area’s in order to ensure the service standards are kept to
•Set and work to warehouse KPI’s and report standards to team and Logistics Manager on a weekly basis
•Completion of all HR admin requirements in a timely and consistent manner
•Maintain a strong understanding of the warehouse management system and shift supervisors roles to ensure good overall appreciation of warehouse issues
