Vacancy Description:

To achieve profit growth through the effective management of new and existing customer accounts from sales through to delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

• Consistently grow the revenue and achieve the targets as set out in the Trainee Freight Account Manager Development Scheme.
• Achieve sales productivity and revenue targets as set out in the Trainee Freight Account Manager Development Scheme.
• Maximise all revenue opportunities from existing customers by proactively pursuing undeveloped areas.
• Generate new prospect leads and new accounts over the telephone and face-to-face.
• Generate new prospect leads for the Sales and Marketing system using external sources.
• Process consignments and enter telesales information on to the Sales and Marketing system.
• Monitor consignments ensuring that the highest levels of service are carried out at every stage.
• Provide customers with accurate and cost effective quotations.
• Ensure all relevant sales and purchase ledger invoices within the Trainee Freight Account Manager's remit are processed on time.

Targets:

The candidate will be working towards hitting targets (KPI’s) relating to Telesales/Appointments/Revenue, - these are monitored on a weekly/monthly basis and is set out in the freight account manager’s development scheme.

The Target for the first year is broken down per month, so for instance the first 6 month the monthly target is 200 telesales/25 appointments per month and with revenue generated growing from the first moth of £ 400 to 800 / 1200 / 1600 / 2000 per month for the month following.

At month 12 we would expect the candidate to have generated £ 4000.00 worth of revenue (in that month) and still maintaining 200+ telesales / 20 appointments. – you can find enclosed the targets + the development if salary + relevant bonus which apply after reaching £ 4000.00

So the role is all about finding/profiling potential customers and convert these into trading account/retaining + developing these for profit – so extensively cold calling, - the account management will come from handling the account(s) being won in the process.

The area’s we sell into are post codes MK/HP/OX/CB/AL – promoting the group’s service we offered: European Road (core service) plus world wide Sea + Airfreight services.

Training Trainee Freight Account Manager Development Scheme will give a 13 week intensive induction into our Group and operating procedures + sales training, furthermore we have several in house modules ranging from additional sales training / presentation / recruitment thus ensuring we can continue to develop of our staff.
